So far I've played, 1 DVD and 2 Blu-ray with this player. I'm using a 30ft HDMI cable to connect to a projector that offers features 1080. With the DVD, you can really see the effect of sharper images with up-conversion. Blu-ray picture is amazingly beautiful, but in both cases, Blu-Ray, the picture froze a few times short and I had to rewind or fast forward a few do to make it go again. This is my first experience with the Blu-Ray and Blu-ray, I can not say who caused the block. I think my opinion until you play the same movies with another player. Other than that, these players lived up to all the features and quality it offers.

I bought my first Oppo BDP-83 a few months ago after I got bored with my Sony BDP-301 and returned it (thank you [...] for a great return!). Anyway, I was looking for a Blu-ray with all the latest specifications, and can also play SACD. Of course, I came across Oppo BDP-83 as it met these specifications, even though I had never heard of before ke. After some 'research, I was very impressed by what I read on the OPPO, their quality and attention to reviews (they are not releasing this Blu-ray, until enough of their customers were satisfied with testers the product). Most of the reviews I've read basically says this is a high-end or near-end high-quality Blu-ray, DVD and SACD player for a very reasonable price and were [...]- incorporate it plays in their high - end component A / V Based on that I bought one.

All I have to say that this Blu-ray is the best I've ever seen,
Goes great with a Sony 46 "LCD TV, BRAVIA sync.The Sound and Vision is clear.
Easies setup once the setup is as easy as 1 2 3 connected without wires.
The function of BD-Live is awesome, along with the load even faster feature.I
love the look of the player, with the drop-down front panel for access to the tray.
The remote is wonderful, except that no open door what you feature.So
up to convert DVD anyway.Overall this device is 100% in my book, Glad I
purchased, and Amazon had a great Satisfied.Thankyou price.Completely!

Tried two different DVDs and cuts in the normal audio and regularly on this player. I have a Blu-Ray and try not to have this problem. Everything else is great about the player. Waiting for my replacement from Amazon at this time, because I have not found anything on Sony's website on this topic. Verified that it is not the TV or the HDMI cable, since both worked on my previous Sony Blu-ray.
