| Review by Dave (California) 2010-06-22 Bought one of these units. Works fine as a Blu-ray player. However, I was excited about the DLNA support - and was hoping it was similar to the support Sony builds into their PS3 units. However, although the interface and functionality is similar to the PS3 (albeit "cheaper" looking), the BDP-BX37 does not .support the formats the PS3 does (or even... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Robert D. Keller (Acworth, Ga. USA) 2010-07-08 I was looking at the Oppo BD-83 for a while. I waited, because I don't think paying 500.00 for a Blu-Ray player was worth it. I knew the Sony 1000ES was 700.00. So, I still was hesitant. I wanted a player that did what a player is suppose to do, just play discs, with GREAT picture and Audio. Bells and whistles belong on Cell Phones, even though thi... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by E. Haley (CA) 2010-06-17 This player does not stream Netflix or Amazon on demand. Unless you really need wireless (although i can't see the point with this player if you cant stream any internet content), I'd suggest a cheaper DVD player. Or skip the DVD player all together and buy a ROKU...which is what i ended up doing after 3 failed attempts at buying one that played ... Read more reviews | ||

The wireless connectivity was very easy to setup and has worked very well with Netflix for streaming titles and accessing other online content. The picture quality of Blu-ray is striking compared to DVD when viewed on our Pioneer plasma HDTV(we have an older model Pio... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Doug Pardee (USA) 2010-07-20 I have a Sony large-screen TV that's pretty darned good. A Sony home theater system-in-a-box that's okay. But the BDP-S570 doesn't work. I've spent a month, a lot of time on the phone with Sony, and extra money for networking equipment; I've replaced the unit I had for another, and it's still DOA. I've returned the replacement unit for a refund, an... Read more reviews | ||
